Short Order Cook/ Food Truck Staff

Mamma Rocks, LLC is hiring for folks to work our food truck AND in our kitchen! We are looking for energetic, responsible and customer service oriented people to join our team.

Mamma Rocks specializes in artisan style sandwiches and melts. All our sandwiches are made to order with homemade ingredients and paired with our made from scratch soups, sides and other dishes. Our kitchen is located in Ashburn, VA and we operate in the Loudoun/ Fairfax area serving daily lunch, as well as, working at local breweries, fairs and wineries some weekday nights and weekends.

We are a family owned and operated business looking for the right people to join our team to help make the Mamma Rocks food truck a success. As part of our team on the truck you will be the face of Mamma Rocks so having an infectious, positive personality with a passion to please and make people happy is a must!!!! Oh, and you have to LOVE great food… especially ours! Qualified candidates are those folks who:

Are at least 18 years of age
Have a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record
Are available to work 20 to 40 hours per week including mornings, afternoons and possible evenings or weekends as needed. Typical shifts are from 9 AM to 4 PM Tuesday through Friday with some nights and weekends for special events/ winery/ brewery events.
Have a valid ServSafe Certification (negotiable for the right person with possible company paid testing)
Are able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Can work under pressure during a busy lunch rush in fast-paced tight quarters while maintaining the highest food/ product quality
Has 1 year or more of professional cooking experience as a short order cook or have worked on a food truck
Must be a US citizen eligible to work in the United States and is willing to complete a background check
Can be on their feet for 4 hours during service
Has reliable transportation
Preference given to those applicants who have experience working on a food truck.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

Pre-shift food prep
Stocking of truck for service and taking inventory
Operating a POS system
Taking orders from customers
Helping to run the line/ Prepare sandwiches as needed
Being a team player
Post shift cleaning of the truck
Doing dishes after a service (pots, pans and the like)
Post shift organizing and inventory
Being happy and positive when working with customers
Driving the truck when needed

Competitive hourly base pay starting at $10 per hour – more for experience
